Samuel John Everett Loxton OBE was an Australian cricketer, footballer and politician. Among these three pursuits, his greatest achievements were attained on the cricket field; he played in 12 Tests for Australia from 1948 to 1951.
The ball was personally signed by Sam Loxton OBE. Sam was part of Don Bradman’s Invincibles. Sam passed away in 2011 at the age of 90. This item was purchased at a charity auction held in Canberra, for the Marlene Harrison-Gray Memorial Trust (invoiced on 1 September 2001). Over the years, we supported many charities by attending fund raisers and purchasing memorabilia.
